Notice of Public Hearing on Proposed Fiscal Year 2026 Budget.

The City of Center City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget.  The public hearing will be held in the City of Center, City Hall Building at 617 Tenaha Street, P.O. Box 1744, Center, Texas 75935 at 5:00 p.m. on August 25, 2025.  The public is encouraged to review the City’s proposed budget on the City of Center website at https://centertexas.org/or view a paper copy of the budget in the City Secretary’s office located at 617 Tenaha Street Center, Texas 75935.  THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR'S BUDGET BY $70,898 OR 3.19%, AND OF THAT AMOUNT, $18,007 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR.
