CITY TO OFFER FIRST TIME HOME BUYER CLASS
Additional Housing Demand Will Grow Local Economy
CENTER, Texas (January 14, 2013) – Do you have the dream of one day owning a home? Do you know how or where to start? Not sure who to ask? The City of Center is offering a free two day first time home buyer class at the Windham Civic Center on February 4 and 5, 2013, from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to learn about the home buying process,” explained Center Mayor David Chadwick. “The instructors cover everything from budgeting and savings to selecting a house and securing a mortgage.”
“We presented this class in August 2011 and about 15 people completed the class,” reported Mark Taylor of Gary Traylor & Associates, the firm who teaches the class. “We use a curriculum called Neighbor Works and we hope to have a larger class this time.”
“Our desire is to see continued housing development,” said Center City Manager Chad Nehring.
The class is open to anyone who has ever thought about buying a home. Please call the Center City Hall at 936/598-2941 to RSVP as class space is limited.
