FIRST 2013 COFFEE WITH THE MAYOR SCHEDULED
City and Community to Report on Multiple Projects

CENTER, Texas (February 6, 2013) – Everyone in Center is invited to attend the next “Coffee with the Mayor” scheduled for Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 7:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Windham Civic Center. 

“Last time, we said we were going to have a busy year and it has certainly started out that way,” described Center Mayor David Chadwick.  “After taking a break for the holidays, it is time to bring everyone up to speed on our projects!”

Some of the topics which will be discussed include the reduction of the City’s ISO rating, the TxDOT-funded sidewalk project, the Community House renovation, City Hall expansion, Center Park expansion, broadband initiative, and the City’s comprehensive plan update.  There are also many scheduled Spring and Summer events.

“This will be a very special meeting because we have so many projects to report on.  We hope to have a great turnout because, chances are, there is at least one of these projects of interest to everyone.  So I would encourage you to swing by.”

Chadwick continued, “We schedule these Coffees with the Mayor to start after people have dropped off kids at school and end right before 8 so people can make it in to work.

The event does not require an RSVP and is an informal come-and-go setting.
