The following are success stories from the House Demolition Grant Program.

302 Timpson

In June 2011, an individual purchased the property at 302 Timpson Street.  The City was already in negotiations with Shelby Savings Bank to re-route a portion of Austin Street.  An existing house was slated for demolition.  This individual purchased the house from Shelby Savings and planned to move it onto the Timpson Street property.  The plan was to completely remodel the relocated house and bring it up to city code.  The City was a participant with all parties and the house was moved in following the demolition.
